PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMING

PRIVATE USE

Photography and filming for private use are allowed as long as they do not inconvenience other visitors. Photography and filming are permissible without lamps or tripod – and without flash in the picture galleries, unless attendants or signs state otherwise. The same rules apply for journalists and press photographers in relation to work concerning the museum.

PROFESSIONAL USE

Professional and semi-professional photo and film crews must always apply for permission in advance.

Permission will not be given:

 • When the purpose is the marketing of any product whatsoever (including musical artists and ensembles and fashion photography).

 • When the intention is to use the museum’s collections or rooms as a setting for recordings of any kind that have no relevance to the museum.

 • When it is a case of recording with a view to printing or digital publishing which has no connection with the museum (photos of works of art and permanent exhibits are available on request from the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek).
